Associate Degree in Nursing
The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program prepares students with entry-level skills and knowledge to practice in the role of a registered nurse in a variety of health care settings. Graduates receive the Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and are prepared to successfully complete the NCLEX-RN (state licensing examination) to obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California. The program consists of four semesters (two academic years) of nursing course work after completion of program prerequisite courses and selection into the program.
Employment opportunities are excellent for registered nurses both locally and in the state. Graduates are actively recruited and employed by local health care facilities with starting salaries of $27-$33 per hour.
